SOUNDINGS OF TAMPA BAY were charted
in 1757 by Francisco Celi for Spain. He found
a minimum of three fathoms good water through
the main, center channel. Zig-zag track indicates
tacking movements of Celi's ship. Embellishments
depict Indian activities, plant and animal life.
