CHARLOTTE HARBOR landing of Soto was suggested by T. H. Lewis in 1900 but not traced out. Clues in narratives suggest a route indicated here. Base camp would be on north shore. March inland starts toward the setting sun, swings northeast at Myakka Lake, then northwest at Green Swamp.
